Sievert
The sievert (Sv) is the unit of effective dose (E) and equivalent dose (H). The unit is named after the Swedish medical physicist Rolf Maximilian Sievert (1896 – 1966).
The sievert is also used as unit for the derived quantities ambient dose equivalent, collective effective dose, committed effective dose, committed equivalent dose, directional dose equivalent, and personal dose equivalent.
