Dose conversion coefficient
The quantity dose conversion coefficient (e(50)) makes it possible to convert becquerel (Bq) to sievert (Sv) in the case of radiation from internal activity (A):
E(50) = e(50) × A
E(50) = committed effective dose (in Sv) e(50) = dose conversion coefficient (in Sv/Bq) A = activity (in Bq) |
The value of the dose conversion coefficient strongly depends on the nuclide, the chemical properties of the radioactive substance, and the method of intake.
