Webinar Week Numerus Fixus Programmes

8-12 December 2025

Online presentations for students looking to start their studies in 2026

Are you looking to start your studies in September 2026 and are you considering a numerus fixus (fixed quota) programme, a programme with a draw or a selection procedure? And have you not been able to attend a presentation on this during a Bachelor's Open Day in Groningen? From 8-12 December 2025 the University of Groningen organises a webinar week about numerus fixus programmes especially for you.

Our numerus fixus programmes

Some programmes have a limited number of seats available each year. This is called a numerus fixus programme. In the event that more students apply than we have seats for, lots will be drawn or students will be selected.

At the University of Groningen you can apply for the following fixed quota programmes:

Draw or selection?

For Geneeskunde, International Relations and International Organization and Tandheelkunde, the available places are allocated by unweighted draw, which means that every applicant has an equal chance of being admitted.

For International Business and Psychology, selection takes place. After the selection procedure students will receive a ranking number. Students will then be placed in order of this ranking, until the maximum number of students for this programme is reached.

All the University of Groningen's fixed quota programmes have an earlier application deadline: 15 January 2026 (academic year 2026-2027).

For more information on registration for a fixed quota programme, visit the website of the Dutch Ministry of Education.
