Data Management Planning
A research data management plan (RDMP) is a document that you create at the start of your research project. It is considered a living document, meaning that it should be updated regularly during the course of your research. It describes how your research data will be handled throughout the data lifecycle:
- What type of data you will collect or produce, and how
- What facilities do you need
- How you will handle the data during and after the project
Funding bodies ask you to write a paragraph on data management in your proposal and deliver an RDMP once your project has been awarded.
