The success of a PhD trajectory is closely related to selecting the best student for the project. It is in fact the most important decision you will take in the whole trajectory of the PhD. Paying close attention to the selection process will therefore pay off later. By participating in this workshop, you will get ready for the important task of selecting the best candidate for the PhD position.

This workshop accompanies and completes week 1 of the online course ‘Successful PhD Supervision’ and will equip you to make the best choice when selecting a student for the PhD position.

During this workshop we will focus on defining, or further detailing, the competencies, qualities, and skills required for your specific position. Particular attention will be given to practicing interviewing techniques so that you can make the best use of the short time you have for interviewing the candidate. |
