Introduction to GIS for PhD students

This course is for all PhD students who want to use GIS in their research project. The course is designed for PhD students who have no prior knowledge of GIS or who need a refresher on geodata. If you have research data with a spatial component (e.g. coordinates, addresses, postal codes, countries, or geographical datasets) or want to add the spatial perspective with geo-data collection this course will be a good starting point.

Goal

In this course we will cover how to design your research with GIS as well as the main geo-tools for data collection, analysis and visualisation. You will also have the possibility to receive free consulting on your data/project by one of our GIS-consultant to help you get further in your research. If we need more time then in this course we make sure you get an appointment to continue working.
