Academic leadership II

Develop yourself as a strategic leader

You have been an associate professor for at least a year or you are a full professor and you lead a larger team with both junior and senior scientists, working together in achieving common goals. You deal with various internal and external stakeholders, while stimulating cooperation and representing the UG. A lot is asked and expected of academic leaders. How do you balance leading with conducting research and teaching? How do you take your group to the next level? How do you inspire them to get the best out of themselves? How do you create support for your ideas? How do you connect people, the UG and the world? This four-day, English-language training is about group leadership, but above all about strategic and contextual leadership.

Programme

During the first two days, you will increase your knowledge and skills in group leadership and organizational leadership. After the first module, there is time to apply your new knowledge and skills in your work. In the second module, we look back on this and you build on vision and strategy and look at existing systems. Exchanging experiences and discussing practical situations is an important part of this training.
