Online registration/admissions

Are you interested in visiting Campus Fryslân of the University of Groningen as an exchange student? Then please read below what you need to do:

Step 1

Make you your home university has an exchange agreement with our university/faculty. You can inquire about this with the exchange office at your university. If they have an agreement with us, please inquiry about any internal application requirements and how to get nominated to our faculty.

In case your university does not have an exchange agreement with us, get in touch to explore the possible options. You can contact exchange.cf@rug.nl

Step 2

Your home university will need to nominate you in our Mobility Online System. Once you have been nominated, you will receive a link generated from Mobility Online to register and upload your documents.
Please make sure to check your inbox and also spam folder regularly for emails from us.

Step 3

Register online and upload the following documents before the deadline:

• Copy of your bachelor’s transcript in English

• Copy of your English language proficiency certificate

• Photocopy of passport or European ID card. Please note that we need this information to verify whether you will need a visa or residence permit for your study in the Netherlands. We only need to see the following information: issuing country, full name, date of birth, date of expiry. Please feel free to blur all other information.

Application deadlines

For autumn semester (early September) / full academic year:

Nomination by partner: 1st May
Deadline application non-EU students : 15 May
Deadline application EU- students: 1 June

For Spring entry (early February):

Nomination by partner:1 November
Deadline application non-EU students : 15 November
Deadline application EU- students: 1 December

Step 4

Once you are nominated and you have submitted a full complete application via Mobility Online, our exchange officer will get in touch to arrange the exchange and any other practical information.
