Hellen Dawo

Hellen L. Atieno Dawo (MSc.) is a PhD researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Entrepreneurship, Campus Fryslân. Her research focusses on the interaction between entrepreneurs and sensitive ecological and cultural environment. Her study investigates small and medium sized entrepreneurs in protected nature areas. It will identify the challenges they face in achieving sustainable entrepreneurship. Based on the initial exploratory study, the research will go further to incorporate nature and cultural assets, unique to protected areas, in sustainable business models. The overall objective is to contribute to literature on processes applied by small and medium sized enterprises in the transition to sustainable entrepreneurship.
