Would your organization like to benefit from young talent? Then with Career Services you’re at the right address! Career Services brings students and employers together. As an employer, you can register with Career Services and submit vacancies. Our platform is also suited for internships. Students who are interested in an internship as part of their studies must first obtain permission from the lecturer.

Vacancies that are being submitted through Career Services must meet the following requirements:
- They must be academically relevant to the students
- They must involve vacancies that include internships or starter jobs with a maximum required work experience of one year.

From 15 July 2024 we will use our new platform RUGconnect : from students and alumni to UG staff, study associations and companies. RUGconnect offers many new opportunities and possibilities: among other things, students can use it to expand their network, look for interesting vacancies or internships, the UG and study associations can share their events on the platform, and alumni can get in touch with each other and other professionals within their field. 

As a company or organisation you can offer vacancies or internships without the intervention of Career Services. You are in control of how your vacancies look, can edit text, adjust the deadline or remove the vacancy once it has been filled.  The only role Career Services staff will continue to play is that the first few vacancies posted by you on the platform will be checked before they actually go live.

Finally, it is possible (if you so wish) for students to seek one-to-one contact with employers through the peer-to-peer messaging system provided by the platform. This allows students to proactively seek out networking opportunities themselves or ask questions about your company or vacancy.

How to register

To register you can sign up via the following page: https://rugconnect.rug.nl/request/employer .

On this registration page, you can enter your details about your company and contact person. Naturally, it is possible to add several contact persons to your company at a later stage, who will all be able to log into their own account and can independently post vacancies on behalf of your company or organisation. 

In case your company or organisation does not have a KvK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce) number, you can indicate this when registering. This means that your company name cannot be automatically verified and filled out via the KvK; it is therefore very important that you enter the name of your company or organisation carefully and correctly.
