About studying in Groningen
As a junior year student at the top law school in Georgia I started researching LLM programs worldwide trying to find the program and a university which would best fit my needs. That is how I ended up at RUG and I have never regretted my choice.
RUG provides great opportunities for young leaders with different backgrounds to acquire a brilliant education and offers numerous activities to enhance various skills. Students can take advantage of great study facilities, helpful career advice, various workshops, trainings, career fairs and have a chance to become board members of different student associations. The academic process is quite intense and very interesting, and professors are easily approachable and helpful. As a result, RUG alumni are equipped with all the necessary skills to succeed in a competitive job market.
In addition to studies, sport and leisure constitute an important part of student life In Groningen. The city is full of numerous bars, restaurants and nightclubs, and the ACLO student sports organization provides courses in over 40 different sports. While in Groningen, I actively participated in classes of Pilates, tennis and golf.
I am a recipient of the Partial Law Scholarship, which, together with other Scholarship programs, is provided by RUG, thus offering outstanding students with financial needs the opportunity to study. Furthermore, I completed the free course in Dutch language offered by the University.
Looking back, I can confidently say that my year at the RUG was the most productive, exciting and rewarding experience for me.
