The Hague and Rotterdam
Inspiring meetings at special locations in The Hague and Rotterdam
About 6000 ex-Groningers live in The Hague & Rotterdam region. They gather twice a year to meet former UG-classmates in an easy going ambiance. While enjoying snacks and drinks they engage with inspiring alumni or academics who share their knowledge, like Frits van Bruggen, CEO ANWB Patrick Jager, director HAL Investments prof Joana Falcao Salles Wytze van der Gaast, Senior researcher and policy adviser Stientje van Veldhoven, State Secretary Infrastructure and Public Works, Prof Michel Vols, Maarten Wetselaar, integrated Gas & New Energies Director Shell. Jaap van Wiechen, directostaar HAL Investments, Stef Blok, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Floor Bremer, Renske Leijten.
The locations? Often interesting workplaces of alumni, such as Peace Palace, the ANWB head office, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and HAL Investments.
"The circle of former Groningers in The Hague meets in beautiful locations. The Gemeentemuseum was beautifully lit this time and we saw a beautiful exhibition before we sat around the tables together. It is nice to contribute to fundamental research that benefits the world, such as Professor Loi's solar cells. " S.G (Fieke) van der Lecq (Economics, 1991).
