About Studying in Groningen

I studied MSc Energy and Environmental sciences at the University of Groningen. Before coming to Groningen to study, I finished the Bachelor of Technology in Physics and Materials Science from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri – Nigeria. Since coming to study at the UG for my master programme, I engaged in other extra-curricular courses and activities such as an Entrepreneurship course organised by the University of Groningen Centre of Entrepreneurship (UGCE), and have been an active member of the African Student Community, Groningen.

I have very much enjoyed the city of Groningen and the unique features it possesses – easy transport by riding my bicycle, getting my bicycle stolen (haha), meeting lots of interesting people and getting used to the unpredictability of the weather. All in all, I can say the city is a wonderful, safe place and the University itself is truly a great environment for not only academic knowledge but also imaginative minds.
