50% tuition fee reimbursement for International School pupils
The reimbursement applies to employees who make use of the expat scheme. The reimbursement of International School fees is capped at 5 years, provided the conditions are met.
The reimbursement of 50% of the school fees will apply for each child. If both partners work at the University of Groningen, 50% of the school fees will be reimbursed (rather than 2x 50%).
If an employee receives reimbursement that relates to a period after the end or expiry of the employment contract, or after the discontinuation or termination of the expat scheme, the employee is obliged to repay the reimbursement amount. The reimbursement shall in any case be discontinued at the above-mentioned moments.
For employees who leave employment during the school year or whose expat scheme disposition ends, the allowance will be prorated.
International schools in the Groningen area that meet the requirements set by the Tax Authorities are: the International School Groningen (secondary school) and the international Department of the Groningen School Association (primary school).
