Paved-over gardens
‘To what degree are gardens being paved over? And what are the consequences for people and wildlife?’ This was one of the questions the University of Groningen received as part of the ‘400 Days for 400 Questions’ project, part of the University’s 400th anniversary festivities. The Beta Science Shop addressed this question. The Municipality of Groningen is also involved in the research and will be holding a seminar on the results in April, to see whether the gardens can be ‘regreened’.
The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
