Tasting chemistry
The University of Groningen's Science LinX offers schools the opportunity to conduct all sorts of chemistry experiments at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Pupils can conduct special experiments that they would not be able to do at school. There are special fume cupboards, chemicals and advanced equipment available. The experiments dovetail nicely with the secondary school chemistry final examination material. In addition, pupils gain a better understanding of what studying Chemistry at university entails. Programmes varying in length from 90 minutes to four hours can be arranged.
The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
