Education for evermore – studying in the future

12 February 2014

Every year, the University of Groningen organizes Education Day. Following a seminar, the University of Groningen Lecturer of the Year election takes place. The seminar was entitled Education for evermore – studying in the future. Jaap Mulder, Higher Education Lecturer Professionalization Coordinator, explains why teaching is a major topic at the University. He also addresses teaching in the future: what will remain the same and what is set to change? The winner of the Jury Award and Audience Award was Christian Zuidema, lecturer in Spatial Sciences, while Hans Burgerhof, lecturer in Medical Statistics, received the most online votes, thus winning the Web Award.

The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
