Mindfulness for informal carers

Informal carers could benefit from mindfulness training to help them feel more in control of their lives, according to research Master's student in sociology Sanny Kappen conducted for the Medicine and Public Health Science Shop. Health insurance company Menzis and the municipalities of Groningen and Assen decided to fund part of the costs of the course as a result. Kappen's research won her an award from the Flemish and Dutch Science Shops.
