The success of the Moot Court
The popular course unit ‘Moot Court’ is the final course unit in the Bachelor’s degree programme in Law at the University of Groningen. The grand courtroom of the age-old former District Court is where theory meets actual practice. Students plead a case in open court, before a professional jury comprising a public prosecutor, a judge and a lawyer, after having followed a preparatory course for several months.
The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
