On the occasion of the 410th anniversary of the University of Groningen, the Green Office presents Cinquecento Medusae, an art installation by the Swiss artist Rosanna Baledda. Immerse yourself in an invasion of jellyfish and open your perspective to a world heavily influenced by climate change.
Jellyfish have been part of our marine ecosystems for 500 million years, but now they seem ready to take over completely. Global warming and pollution have increased their numbers dramatically. What does this mean for our ecosystems?
Enjoy the artistic experience, but also learn more about current scientific insights from our own UG researchers!
The installation will be on display from 21 May in the lobby of the University Library. The opening will take place on Friday 17 May, at 3:00 PM. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend the opening!
