Social Safety
The University of Groningen stands for a working and studying environment in which everyone feels welcome and at home. This means that we listen to each other, appreciate each other, and continue to share perspectives, even when we disagree and experience discomfort. This is not (yet) a given everywhere. That is why we invite you to share your stories with us. So that difficult topics can be discussed and we can learn from each other's perspectives. Through these conversations, we promote participatory leadership and work together to build a culture of mutual understanding, trust, and connection. This is more important than ever, because we live in a time of radical change and complex issues. As part of this culture, we offer support to carefully discuss behavior that hinders social safety. In this way, we are working together to embed social safety in our university community. We invite you to contribute to this. Thank you in advance for your support!
This page provides information on how the UG promotes social safety and ways you can contribute. Have you experienced or witnessed behaviour that hinders social safety? Please contact the Central Contact and Information Point for Social Safety.
