ENLIGHT Inclusion Award 2025 call

We are excited to announce that nominations for the ENLIGHT Inclusion Award 2025 are now open! This award recognizes the exceptional efforts of students who have shown dedication to promoting diversity, inclusion, and accessibility through their projects and initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

Timeframe

Projects must have been carried out between January 2024 and May 2025.

Student Status

Nominees must be Bachelor’s or Master’s students at an ENLIGHT partner university, like the University of Groningen.

Type of Initiative

  • Only non-profit initiatives are eligible.

  • Initiatives that have received funding for organizational costs, scholarships, or student compensation (in money or ECTS) are also eligible.

Project Scope

  • Only initiatives that have been implemented (by May 2025) are eligible.

  • Research-only or conceptual projects do not qualify.

All initiatives will be assessed based on the eligibility criteria above, as well as four selection criteria:

  • Innovation

  • Community impact

  • Voice of a critical friend

  • Inclusion of the target group

Application Process

Deadline

Thursday, 1 May 2025 (due by 1 May, 23:59)
To apply, submit a completed proposal using this template to diversity rug.nl.

Selection Process

  • As each ENLIGHT university may submit a maximum of one nomination.The UG Diversity & Inclusion office  will review applications and select one nominee.

  • The final nomination will be submitted to the ENLIGHT selection committee by 15 May 2025.

  • Three winners will be selected by the ENLIGHT selection committee, which consists of representatives from all ten member universities.

Award & Recognition

The three winners will be invited to present their projects at the 5th ENLIGHT Teaching & Learning Conference in Uppsala, Sweden, from 8 to 10 October 2025.

Let's celebrate the incredible contributions of students in fostering inclusivity and accessibility within our communities. Together, we can create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive world!

Important Notes

  • This award does not include a monetary prize but covers the costs of conference participation (travel and subsistence).

  • The award provides valuable recognition and networking opportunities for personal and professional growth.
