International Strategy and Relations
The International Strategy and Relations (ISR) department acts as an expert advisor to the University of Groningen community on policy and strategy for internationalization. It is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the internationalization goals of the University of Groningen.
On a day-to-day basis, ISR is deeply engaged in the application, implementation and success of EU and region-specific projects as well as in developing mutually beneficial relationships, both with partner universities abroad and with national funding bodies around the world.
The department plays a central role in the university’s membership of various international consortia and is responsible for the relationships with key institutional partners. Long-term, ISR aims to create a strategic framework that supports the goals and policies of internationalization throughout the university.
