Educational Programme Leaders
The "Educational Programme Leaders" community of practice offers a space for programme leaders to exchange ideas and collaborate on improving teaching and the management of education. The community provides an opportunity for members to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and explore strategies and tools like Brightspace to enhance education management.
A programme leader is an academic responsible for leading an educational programme, often in roles such as programme coordinator, director, departmental education coordinator, or cluster leader. These leaders may also be involved in internal quality assurance and programme accreditation. Since titles vary across faculties, the generic term "programme leader" is used to describe this group.
Programme leaders play a key role in implementing faculty education strategies, maintaining educational quality, and promoting their programmes within and outside the university. This role is typically carried out alongside their research and teaching responsibilities. The community of practice offers a platform for these leaders to exchange experiences and learn from each other.
Topics for discussion include:
-
Leading an educational programme
-
Ensuring educational quality
-
Accreditations
-
Organizing a (study) programme
Participants are encouraged to propose additional topics and determine how to approach them within the community.
