Academic advances are made at the interfaces between different research fields: from biotechnological research to collaboration in the field of demographic ageing. Within the University of Groningen, research fields are categorized in three interdisciplinary research clusters: Healthy Ageing, Energy and Sustainable Society. These are the basis for a very wide range of close collaborations. Our collaborative research is strongly oriented to the objectives of the European Horizon 2020 programme.
