BioBRUG
The BioBRUG project forges contacts between University research groups and local businesses involved in the ‘bio-based economy’. Research projects are formulated for the fields of green energy and biotechnology on the basis of concrete issues experienced in practice. Master’s students then join forces with the businesses to find solutions. University knowledge is thus shared with the business community so that together we can develop and market new technologies.
The project counts 150 research projects involving Master’s students. The projects are each supervised by three different experts: an academic professor or lecturer, a representative of the involved company and a BioBRUG staff member. The latter individual fosters mutual understanding between the business and the academic researcher to ensure that the expectations of both parties are met.
