200 international alumni invited to The Hague
11 University of Groningen alumni were among 200 especially selected international alumni, invited to visit the Netherlands for the Holland Alumni Conference. The conference was organized for the second time by Nuffic (Netherlands Organisation for International Cooperation in Higher Education) and took place on 26 and 27 May 2011 in The Hague.
The goal of the conference was to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between international alumni who studied in the Netherlands, and to contribute to the creation of alumni networks in different areas of expertise. The Dutch Ministry of Education together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs financed the conference and travel costs for the talented alumni.
The alumni were offered a varied programme with case studies and skills training. The participants worked on cases prepared by the Dutch business community, the NFP (Netherlands Fellowship Programmes) organizations and the Dutch higher education institutions.
