University of the North roadshow of 3 April dedicated to Life-Long Learning
On Thursday 3 April 2025, the University of the North will hold its first roadshow of the year at the Bornholmstraat location of Noorderpoort. The theme of this roadshow is Life-Long Learning (Leven Lang Ontwikkelen, LLO).
LLO is a hot topic. And rightly so. Societal transitions and the advent of AI have permanently altered our work. This requires an approach in which we constantly develop throughout our careers. This carries consequences for companies, the working population, governments, and educational and knowledge institutions. After all, a robust LLO policy starts with high-quality and flexible teaching that is in tune with the changing labour market.
For this reason, the University of the North will hold its roadshow ‘LLO and the future of work’ on Thursday 3 April. It will be hosted at Noorderpoort on Bornholmstraat, the training centre for automotive and bicycle technology, transport and logistics, and sales in the Northern Netherlands.
This afternoon is being organized in collaboration with the LLO programme team of the University of the North and will be chaired by Jetse Goris.
A look at the LLO initiatives from within and outside educational and knowledge institutions
After a captivating keynote speech on LLO in practice, we will head into breakout sessions to take a closer look at successful LLO initiatives from within and outside educational and knowledge institutions.
