Twelve researchers receive MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships

14 February 2025

Twelve researchers were granted a Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship. MSCA is a European funding scheme aimed at promoting researchers’ mobility. It provides funding for 2-year postdoctoral fellowships for researchers of any age, nationality and discipline.

The University of Groningen has an excellent track record in this funding scheme. This year 12 projects have been awarded. Besides, other projects got the Seal of Excellence (projects that got at least 85% score but due to the limited budget they could not be funded).

These are the 12 researchers selected by the European Commission to develop their research projects with their UG/UMCG supervisors:

  • Marjolein Admiraal (Michael Dee)
  • Serte Donderwinkel (Tobias Müller)
  • Elis Haan (Catharina Hartman)
  • Divya Khurana (Helder Santos)
  • Laura Matilde Magno (Sophia Voutsaki)
  • Nicholas Marzano (Dirk Jan Slotboom)
  • Fernando Manuel Quintana Velázquez (Erika Covi)
  • Thiecla Rosales (Helder Santos)
  • Vania Salvador Pinto (Mónica López López)
  • Martin Sarott (Beatriz Noheda)
  • Graziela Scheur (Helder Santos)
  • Betzabe Torres Olave (Lucy Avraamidou)

The goal of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD, wishing to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility. It is also interesting for senior researchers aiming at attracting promising fellows from all over the world, thus expanding their research capacity as well as building on their international network.

The next call for proposals will be published in May. If you need further information, please contact your Faculty Funding Officer  (login needed) and Gema Ocana.
