Groningen University Fund investment policy
After a weekend of peaceful demonstrations, we are trying to re-establish contact with the protesters so we can have a conversation. Through social media, the protesters have spread a message about investments made by the Groningen University Fund (GUF) in Israeli companies that, according to them, are complicit in genocide against the Palestinian people. At the end of the 2021 reporting year, the GUF had an investment in a fund that, at that time, did not meet the sustainability criteria set by GUF. As soon as this information reached the GUF, the fund revised the equity portfolio. The GUF selects funds based on sustainability, tracks their sustainability score, and makes adjustments to the portfolio if necessary. GUF annual reports can be found on the GUF website.
