Roadshow #1 of the University of the North dedicated to soil vitality and sustainable and healthy nutrition

This year's first roadshow of the University of the North is on its way and is dedicated to soil vitality and its connection to sustainable and healthy nutrition. The roadshow will take place on 10 April 2024 at the beating heart of the biobased economy in Friesland, Biosintrum in Oosterwolde.
Soil vitality and sustainable and healthy nutrition are not only on top of the agenda of farmers, politicians, governments, companies in the food chain, and nature organizations, but also of educational and knowledge institutions. This is not surprising when you consider that a vital soil forms the basis for a safe and healthy society. A vital soil houses biodiversity, stores water, and contributes to a better climate by storing CO2. Moreover, a vital soil is crucial for growing varied and healthy food. So, it is high time for a roadshow about this subject.
The role of educational and knowledge institutions in the chain
In the roadshow 'From vital soil to healthy people' we take a journey from soil to the plate, and show you how we, as educational and knowledge institutions, in collaboration with our partners in the region, are committed to vital soil, sustainable food supply, and a healthy society.
