Agenda 2022-2024 of the Akkoord van Groningen launched

On Thursday 12 May 2022, the festive launch of the strategic agenda 2022-2024 of the Akkoord van Groningen took place in Forum Groningen. The Akkoord van Groningen (the Agreement of Groningen) is a collaboration between the municipality, province, knowledge institutions and the two hospitals in the municipality and region.
Mayor Koen Schuiling spoke at the meeting as chairman of the Akkoord and State Secretary Hans Vijlbrief was also present to respond to the formulated ambitions. In addition to the plenary part, there were various sub-sessions about the various projects and flagships that arise from collaboration within the Akkoord van Groningen, such as Climate Adaptation, Talent Bonding, Hydrogen, Health projects, and two new campuses were presented (Vitaliteitscampus Kardinge and Sustainability Campus Suikerunie terrain).
We, as the UG, are very proud to be part of this collaboration. Among other things, the joint ambition is for Groningen to be a leader in a number of global transitions, including by working from the best campuses in the Netherlands.
The strategic agenda can be found online.
