Student entrepreneurs introduce improved cervical cancer screening
A team of UG students is working hard on introducing an improved and more reliable screening test for cervical cancer. The patented method, developed at the UMCG, reduces the chances of ‘false positive’ results and thus lowers the percentage of missed cancer cases. The student entrepreneurs hope that their start-up company, CC Logistics, will make the new screening method commercially viable. The students’ initiative has reached the semifinals of the Young Business Award on 2 May.
