Aletta Jacobs College Tour: Khadija Arib

At 6 March Ms. Khadija Arib will receive the Aletta Jacobs Prize. This prize is awarded by the University of Groningen every two years to a woman with an academic background who has contributed to women’s emancipation in the national or international arena. The prize honors the first female student at the UG and the first female doctor in the Netherlands, dr. Aletta Jacobs (1854-1929). On March 5 a student College Tour will be organized honouring Ms. Arib, her achievements and work. Ms Arib is the current President of the Dutch House of Representatives and co-founder of the Moroccan Women in the Netherlands Foundation. This prize will acknowledge her substantial contribution to the position of women with a multicultural background in the Netherlands.
College Tour: Submitting your questions
If you are interested in politics, women’s emancipation, democratic values, minority rights or in the personal life and career of Khadija Arib, reserve your seat for this event. Would you like to ask a question to Ms. Arib? Register and send us your question or comment. Submitted questions will be divided into four topics: work; personal life, female empowerment and minority rights; and future perspectives. The organizing committee of the College tour will select the most interesting and original questions If your question is selected, you will be contacted by March 2nd and you will be allowed to ask your question directly to Ms. Arib.
Please be informed that although the event will be held in Dutch, it is possible for non-Dutch speakers to submit their questions as the organizing committee will make sure that if your question is selected, it will be translated to Dutch.
