We would like to invite you to the official opening of the renewed bus station in Zuidhorn on Monday 15 May from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. in the town hall in Zuidhorn, Hooiweg 9.
Cooperation with the UG
The renewed bus station is part of the Stationspark Zuidhorn project. An important part of this project is the application of several sustainable measures. That is why during the opening, special attention will be paid to the cooperation with the UG and the engineering firm Tauw in the field of piezo technique, which uses motion to create energy. From the UG, Bayu Jayawardhana (Engineering and Technology Institute Groningen) and Beatriz Noheda (Zernike Institute) are involved in this project.
Programme
You are welcome in the town hall from 09:45 a.m. The programme starts at 10:00 a.m. Mayor Bert Swart will take on a journey along the different official parts of this morning:
• Singing agreement piezo technique
• Commissioning water taps
• Commissioning bus station
Then it is time for a short bus trip. At 11:30 a.m. it is time to finish the programme with Italian food and drinks at dining room Derde Perron (opposite to the town hall).

Because of the organisation, we would like to know whether you will be present.
