Professors by special appointment

Professors by special appointment are professors who are appointed by a legal entity, often a foundation or an association.

On this page you will find an overview of the chairs by special appointment at the UG, sorted by faculty (including the Faculty of Medical Sciences), as well as the institutions and foundations that introduced the chair. If relevant, the name of an external financier or sponsor is mentioned too. The overview also contains a number of regular chairs that rely on partial or full external funding.
