Opening hours and closing days

General office hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. - 5 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays the buildings of the University are closed.

On the following dates in 2025 the University of Groningen will be closed:

• New Year's Day: Monday 1 January 2025
• Good Friday: Friday 18 April 2025
• Easter (Easter Sunday and Easter Monday): Sunday 20 April and Monday 21 April 2025
• King's Day: Saturday 26 April 2025
• Liberation Day: Monday 5 May 2025
• Ascension Day: Thursday 29 May 2025
• Pentecost (Whit Sunday and Whit Monday): Sunday 8 and Monday 9 June 2025
• Christmas (Christmas Day and Boxing Day): Thursday 25 and Friday 26 December 2025
