China College Tour: The Rising Power

This year Krijger and Partners organizes a college tour titled The Rising Power with the support of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The tour will visit four universities throughout the Netherlands. The college tour will be hosted by Globalisation Studies Groningen (GSG), the Centre for East Asian Studies Groningen (CEASG) and the student association SIB on Monday 25 February from 15:00-18:00 in the Marie Loke Zaal of the Harmonie Building. (Oude Kijk in't Jatstraat 26, Groningen).

This session will be centered around the theme ‘The Two Faces of China: techno-economic genius or command and control system?’ with a particular focus on economic innovation and political culture. Speakers include René Cuperus (Volkskrant, Clingendael Institute) and Kathleen Ferrier (China Expert, Former M.P.) and various experts from the University of Groningen.

The College Tour will be opened by Prof. Dr. Jouke de Vries, President of the Board of the University of Groningen and moderated by Xuefei Cao.
