Workshop Books in Groningen before 1600

Celebrating the digitization of its Jos.M.M. Hermans Archive, the department of Special Collections is organizing a workshop on book culture in Groningen before 1600, in collaboration with prof. dr. Sabrina Corbellini, professor of the History of Reading in Premodern Europe. Five experts will discuss aspects of medieval and early-modern bookculture in and around Groningen — the field of expertise in which the late prof. Jos Hermans (1949-2007) excelled.
