VIDEO: Panel discussion with Prof. Michael Hitt: Strategy & Entrepreneurship through times of Crisis
"Strategy & Entrepreneurship through times of Crisis: Challenges and Opportunities"
As the economic and financial crisis develops, parties realize that even in times of crisis besides challenges there are opportunities as well. Anticipating economic recovery, firms large and small will also develop strategies to position themselves for renewed growth. What are the particular challenges that firms and government now face? How can they best prepare for developments to come?
Michael Hitt is a professor of management of leadership and new ventures at Texas A&M University. He has published extensively on entrepreneurship, strategy, and organization theory, and in particular on mergers & acquisitions. Besides the research monographs he has published and the research articles in highly prominent academic journals and also published a number of influential and widely used text books.
He was a guest speaker at the FEB on 23 March in the Lecture Series "Let's Talk..."
The Panel:
- Yvonne Prince (PhD in economics, EUR) is director at EIM Business & Policy Research. Her work is focused on how both government and business may best promote small and medium sized firms and entrepreneurship.
