We hope that you will continue to stay in touch with the University after your studies. As a former student of the University, you are part of a worldwide network of alumni, faculty, researchers and students. You can make use of the knowledge and experiences of others and you can contribute yourself as well.
Stay connected
If you have received your diploma at the University of Groningen, you will automatically get our digital Worldwide Newsletter or the alumnimagazine Broerstraat 5. Involvement by former students is very important to the University. Thanks to your feedback we can improve our education. You could help new generations of students through, for example, mentoring or giving guest lectures about your work experiences. Furthermore, you can support special research projects via the Ubbo Emmius Fund; the charity foundation of the University.
Alumni events and networks
The University, faculties, alumni chapters and associations organize alumni events in the Netherlands and around the world regularly. The Young Alumni Network (YAN) offers alumni up to the age of 35 a professional and social network, to support you in your career and personal development. Many study programs have their own alumni association.
Would you like to join a network of alumni in your region? The University of Groningen has established several Alumni Chapters. They are regional networks of former students of the University of Groningen that come together twice a year to reconnect with the university and each other.

Career and study
The University offers many opportunities in the area of postgraduate education, courses and training. On the website of Career Services you will find useful tips on finding a job or internship.
Sports
Even if you are a graduate you can (continue to) play sports at the ACLO. For only € 134.95 you can play sports unlimited for a year! Up to three years after graduation.
IT facilities and library
After your deregistration as a student, you can no longer use the IT facilities of the University and you only have access to the public facilities of the University Library.
