Drink & Discuss "Hot Moments"

What do you do when a “hot moment” happens in the classroom? A “hot moment” is when a student(s) says or does something unexpected that creates some tension in the room -- maybe they challenge the content in an intense way, or raise an issue that people are uncomfortable with, or that you – the teacher – are uncomfortable with. What then?
