For adults (in English): Introductory tour Kaleidoscope

Why is there a BMW car in the University Museum's collection? How did students used to learn about the anatomy of the human body? And what stories are behind a whaler's hat? You will get answers to these and many more questions during the introductory tour of our new exhibition Kaleidoscope.

During the tour we will reveal the museum's diverse collection: from zoology to ethnology to anatomy. You will go on a journey through numerous scientific areas, where objects form the physical remains of the university's past.

At the end of the tour, we invite you to determine which objects you find most beautiful, special or spectacular. In this way, we determine together which are the real treasures of the museum's collections.

• Cost: Presentation and tour are free with a valid museum admission ticket
• Registration: Registration is not necessary, but is appreciated and can be done by sending an email to universiteitsmuseum@rug.nl. This way we can estimate the number of people interested.
